Objectives:
The International Youth Meeting is an event created in the FIFEJ order to realize its option open with regard to young Tunisian and foreign. It is his true originality. This section requires the mobilization of human resources and a lot of material fact FIFEJ of space animation and training.
The specific objectives are targeted:
- Former youth by introducing them to the handling of technical means of expression through images.
- Stimulate creativity by encouraging their convenient access to the expression by the image.
- To enrich their knowledge and expertise in the field of cinema.
- Promoting dialogue and cultural exchanges between the youth of the world.
- Strengthen the organizational and collective practices of young people.
- To publicize the films and audio-visual products made by young people.
Activities of the Meeting:
1 / Workshops:
Young guests are divided into groups to participate in the activities of 40 to 50 workshops initiation, manipulation and creation. These workshops are devoted to different image practices, of particular interest being given to new techniques. Among these practices, there is a photo, video, scriptwriting, image culture film, cartoons, animated films, multimedia, computer processing of images, applications digital picture and sound ...
> Conditions of participation:
- Be aged 18 to 22 years.
- Speaking preferably french (foreigners).
- Be motivated by the practices of the image or associative action.
- Representing an association or institution.
Tunisian children aged 8 to 14 may also be admitted in workshops devoted to them.
2 / The International Youth Forum:
The Forum aims to promote the free expression of youth, enabling them to express their concerns, their cultural sensitivities and their artistic tastes and used to respond to sound cinema.
The Forum is designed as a space to speak, dialogue between young people, on the one hand, and between the adults who work in film and animation and young people, on the other. That is why the organization is entrusted to a committee of young people supervised by an official of the festival. All guests of the meeting are expected to participate in the deliberations of the Forum.
The committee establishes a theme that, but young people can suggest other topics for discussion.
3 / Animation:
To encourage cultural exchange between the young participants, the evening entertainment are available to young people. These are called in groups to submit examples of their cultures (costumes, songs, dances, skits, poetry ...)
4 / The "Young Film:
This section, created at the request of young people, is open to films made by them on all media (35 mm, 16 mm, VHS, DVD, multimedia). The youth of the meeting are invited to meetings of projections of these films.
Organization:
The basic principle used by the festival is to truly involve young people in preparing and organizing the International Meeting of Young. For this purpose, structures are established to enable young people to get involved at all levels.
