ARTICLE 1 :
The Festival International du Film pour l'Enfance et la Jeunesse de Sousse (FIFEJ) is a biennial international cultural event whose main purpose of:
• Promote international film production for children and youth.
• Encourage retailers and agencies to import more films for children and youth.
• Promote national film production for children and youth.
• Creates an opportunity for youth from different countries to meet, get acquainted and to discuss all issues related to the image.
• Contribute to the initiation of youth festival of new techniques of image in specialized workshops.
ARTICLE 2 :
The FIFEJ is placed under the Ministry of Culture and supported by the Municipality of Sousse. A steering committee ensures the organization.
ARTICLE 3 :
The official FIFEJ includes the following sections:
1-A competition official cinema short films and feature film for children, open to films of all origins, all genres (fiction, documentary, animation), whose production dates back to three (3) years. The short films must be of a duration not exceeding 30 minutes.
A 2-film official competition of short films and feature films for young people open to films of all origins, all genres (fiction, documentary, animation), whose production dates back to three (3) years. The short films must be of a duration not exceeding 30 minutes.
A 3-section film information: open to films as defined above which have not been selected for official competition and short films and feature films for children and youth of all backgrounds and all genres.
4-A competition official video: open to short films and feature films, animated films and documentaries for young people or children of any origin and whose production dates back to (3) years.
Section 5-A video information: open to short films and feature films, animated films and documentaries for young people or children of any origin.
Section 6-A retrospective tribute to a director, a producer, a national cinema, a festival ...
7-A section entitled "Children of the South": open to all audiovisual genres (fiction, documentary, animation) in all media (film, video, photos, ...) from Africa, Asia, or Latin America and themes for children and youth.
8-A non-competitive section called "Young Film": open to films made by young people on any media (film 35mm, 16mm, video, DVD, multimedia, ...)
9-Symposia, seminars and conferences on issues relating to the audiovisual industry in its dealings with children and youth.
10-An international meeting at which invited young people from 15 to 18 years of all nationalities who will be involved in specific activities at the festival (sharing projections, debates, workshops, knowledge of the country ...)
ARTICLE 4 :
Copies of the films must be with optical sound, 35mm format and 16mm format exception. For the projection of the video section, the support agreement is only the tape BETA or BETA SP Num.
Copies of films, speaking neither Arabic nor french nor English must be subtitled in one of these three languages.
ARTICLE 5 :
The registration deadline for films is set at two (2) months prior to each session of the festival is October 17 2005.
Copies of films are sure to arrive no later than one (1) month before the Festival is on 17 November 2005, if possible by the Tunisian diplomatic bag, or the countries participating at the following address:

For the screening of films, sending a VHS tape (PAL-SECAM) or DVD is required.
Participation records, registration forms, documents relating to the films (summaries, pictures, posters, press kits, list of dialogues or comments ... possibly), VHS video tapes (PAL-SECAM) or DVD for pre - and any correspondence should be sent to:

ARTICLE 6:
Insurance and transport to Tunis films are borne by the shippers.
The FIFEJ material is responsible copies of films between the date of receipt and dispatch of its care. If the copy came with a direct intermediary in Tunis as diplomatic representation, the latter will be responsible for forwarding to its cost.
ARTICLE 7:
Films participating in FIFEJ not represent that their director and / or producers that are explicitly intended distinctions.
ARTICLE 8:
The official competition film is established by a list established and announced by an international jury consisting of a chairperson and four members.
The official winners includes the following awards:
I-Section of short films and feature films for children:
• "Hadrumète GOLD" (Grand Prize) awarded to the best short film for children.
• "Hadrumète GOLD" (Grand Prize) awarded to the best feature film for children.
• Some optional for short films and feature films for children.
Section II-short films and feature films for young people:
• "Hadrumète GOLD" (Grand Prix) award for Best Short Film for Youth
• "Hadrumète GOLD" (Grand Prize) awarded to the best feature film for young people.
• Some optional for short films and feature films for young people.
Note: There can be tied to the awarding of prizes.
III-Young Audience Award:
The prize is awarded by young moviegoers attending the festival. Applications will be considered only feature films for young people enrolled in official competition.
The competition official video is sanctioned by a list established and announced by an international jury made up of youths 16 to 20 years.
Past winners include:
• Grand Prize of the Jury.
• Special Jury Prize.
• Price of "young talent".
The FIFEJ can accept the award of prizes and honorable mentions to films on the sidelines of the official competitions of the festival. Applications must be submitted to the Director of FIFEJ by organizations wishing to receive these awards, prior to the start of the festival.
ARTICLE 9:
Participation in FIFEJ implies full acceptance of these General Regulations.
ARTICLE 10:
The Steering Committee FIFEJ alone is empowered to take any decision on either the points not covered by this general rule or its interpretation.
